Spanish term or phrase: alteración en el concepto de sí mismo
This is from a study of mindfulness interventions with cancer patients. I think I must be missing something as "alteración en el concepto de sí misma" appears to be negative whereas the text is speaking about the benefits of mindfulness. I am assuming the last part is "concept of the self". Any ideas?

la práctica sostenida de la atención plena se ha asociado con una mayor capacidad para aceptar el estrés y la frustración como parte de la vida, enfocarse, influir mejor en la regulación, mayor conciencia corporal, interocepción y alteración en el concepto de sí mismo

shift in self-perception

Explanation:
At the risk of splitting hairs, I think that that "shift" really works better than "changes" here, given that the word connotes a sudden and qualitative change of the kind seemingly referred to here.

"Shifting self-perception" is also commonly used in psychological contexts.

Self-perception theory posits that people determine their attitudes and preferences by interpreting the meaning of their own behavior. Critcher and Gilovich looked at whether people also rely on the unobservable behavior that is their mindwandering when making inferences about their attitudes and preferences.
