Pośrednik w obrocie nieruchomościami – zawód polegający na kojarzeniu stron transakcji (także doradztwo) przy zakupie, sprzedaży, zamianie, najmie, wynajmie nieruchomości. Zgodnie z ustawą z dnia 21 sierpnia 1997 r. o gospodarce nieruchomościami (Dz. U. z 2016 r. poz. 2147, art. 179 ust. 2) "pośrednikiem w obrocie nieruchomościami jest osoba fizyczna posiadająca licencję zawodową nadaną w trybie przepisów ustawy o gospodarce nieruchomościami". Obecnie po wejściu w 2013 r. tzw. "ustawy deregulacyjnej" wykonywanie pośrednictwa w obrocie nieruchomościami nie wymaga już licencji, a jedynie ubezpieczenia od odpowiedzialności cywilnej[1] (poza oczywiście kwestiami związanymi z rejestracją działalności gospodarczej, zależnymi od jej formy)
