English term

Pin nosed pliers

English to French Tech/Engineering Automotive / Cars & Trucks
Can someone help me ? I'm looking for the French words for "pin nosed pliers". I know a lot of different types of pliers but I can't find any translation for this one ! Thanks a lot for your help !

Thanks a lot for your help. I had to send back the translation so I chose a kind of generic term since it was not perfectly clear !I t was used to remove an electronic part from an engine. Thanks again for your answers !

More context will be needed to correctly identify the exact tool first, before even trying to find a translation. Do you know what it is being used for?
Tony M Jan 31, 2007:
Fanny, the term you have is ambiguous; there can be all sorts of pliers that might be described as "pin-nosed", from pointed ones as shown in the URL given below by Yves, to the kind used for opening circlips, or applying cable sleeves.

Peer comment(s):

neutral Tony M : I don't think this is the same tool at all

Of course, but depending on the field (not specified here), I may suggest it. To illustrate, see Google Images: http://tinyurl.com/29ednj. Well, actually, I'm looking for something else than "special tool" :) [cf. the url above, foll. paragraph after]
