I will always express my wishes when I'm in direct contact with my clients during the end-of-year season, but I don't create specific general e-mails.
I hate empty words and general e-mails that are clearly not personalized are exactly that. I've already received some greetings stating something like "Your contribution to this year's success was so valuable", while I did perhaps 2 small tasks over the whole year. I hate empty words and general e-mails that are clearly not personalized are exactly that. I've already received some greetings stating something like "Your contribution to this year's success was so valuable", while I did perhaps 2 small tasks over the whole year. The tradition of sending Christmas cards is all but gone. When I started out in this profession, I used to send handwritten Christmas cards to clients, suppliers and colleagues, after a while I started sending e-cards only to the most important clients. Nowadays, like Lieven, I will send my best wishes to the clients who contact me during the end-of-year season.

I don't like spamming
Dec 23, 2024
I consider all those PR/marketing emails like pure spam, so I don't send them.
Also, I don't like to get them, so this is the time of the year when I usually unsubscribe from all those services that only send these spam emails, without any communication during the whole year.
