The Linguist for a start | Jun 7, 2023 |
I read the CIoL magazine The Linguist, and check the RWS website and their free webinars on where the industry is going now and then. (OK, it is marketing for Trados, but there is plenty more)

Most of my reading is about language rather than the industry - or what I still like to call our profession!
I use the Danish Language Council's website https://ordnet.dk/ regularly. There are dictionaries, articles about the Danish language, and even puzzles and games for a coffee break!
The Oxford University Press offers loads of opportunities for instructive amusement: https://blog.oup.com/category/language-words/ for instance.
I buy and read books on language and translation theory - too many to list here, but I appreciate how lucky I am to work with English and Danish, when there is such a wide choice. ▲ Collapse

I meant that if something important happens in the translation industry you can almost immediately read about it on Proz, so you don't need to read blogs.
It was a joke, Kay, but apparently a very bad one. My moderately sincere apologies.
