path of life - life-path
from the context I would tend to path of life, as there is meant the path that was leading him to where he is now...

personal life path
Hi Trudy,
just a quick note to support the "life path" option suggested above, not for points.
If your text is about alternative healing , esp. anthroposophical medicine,(some of your previous questions, e.g."Eurythmy", seem to point towards that)"personal life path" in would be a good choice of words, and I thinks you had the right hunch when mentioning the "personal experiences" .I've been involved with all things Waldorf, almost ad nauseam, through my children for the past 20 years. As with all philosophical systems, their terminology is very peculiar("ether body", "Higher Self"). "Life path" in the sense of personal destiny is a frequently used term by anthropops. If this is not a text about anthroposophy--never mind!

Please ignore all those typos. I had to concentrate on the correct spelling of anthroposophy...

perhaps, meaning not just the life-story, but also everything that's behind and beyond the patient's story.
