thank you for your continuing patronage. Cảm ơn chị thường xuyên ghé thăm cửa hàng. Explanation: "thank you for your continuing patronage" should not be translated literally (word for word) in our language. It can be interpreted as "thank you for your regular visits to our shop" Please note that "you" in this context may be also translated as "em/chị/cô/bác/bà" depending on the age of the lady. Here, in this context "chị" should be used as it is a neutral in conversation with customers. |

thank you for your continuing patronage. Cám ơn quý vị thường xuyên đến cửa hàng chúng tôi. Explanation: It looks like this will be on a sign, so using the general and respectful term for "you" is more appropriate. It is not gender-specific because though it is a cosmetic store, men could be a patron. The above phrase would mean "Thank you for frequenting our store" |

thank you for your continuing patronage. cám ơn quý vị đã thường xuyên ghé thăm/lui tới cửa hàng chúng tôi Explanation: The word "you" here is usually politely translated as "quý vị". Depending on the specific context, you can replace "quý vị" as "bác/cô/chị/bạn/em/cháu" (Female customers, depending on the age relationship between the seller and the customer). And there may be also male customers coming to the shop, depending on the age relationship between the seller and the customer, you can use "ông/bác/anh/bạn/em" for these customers. Hope it is helpful. |

thank you for your continuing patronage. Cảm ơn chị đã thường xuyên ủng hộ. Explanation: Definition of Patronage in Cambridge Dictionary: the support given to an organization by someone. Since This is a greeting used by a seller of consumer products for women (cosmetics), "you" should be translated as "chị" because the word "chị" shows that this customer is a familar costumer and also show the seller's respect to the customer. (I would not use "Quý khách" here since it is not a common way to address a patron in Vietnamese). So my target text in this context: Xin cảm ơn chị đã thường xuyên ủng hộ. -> This mean: Thank you for your ongoing support. (this does not sound too formal, it's how people use in normal conversation in Vietnam, you can check by google "Cảm ơn chị đã ủng hộ". Hope it can help Reference: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/patronage... Reference: http://google.com |
