Trados 2017 automatically propagating source text into target

I have Trados 2017. For some reason it has started to automatically complete target segments with the source text before I can translate it. I have checked project settings and "Leave target segment empty" is checked. Any help much appreciated.

uncheck the option of "Automatically copy source content to target cells when opening document" Mar 21, 2022

Does this happen as soon as you open the translable file? if yes, please go to File -> Options -> Editor, and uncheck the option of "Automatically copy source content to target cells when opening document";

Thanks so much for replying. The segment is completed when I move the cursor to it, and"Automatically copy source content to target cells when opening document"; is not checked.

Okay, then go to File -> Options -> Editor -> Automation, and uncheck the option of "Copy source when no match is found";
