This workshop takes into account that creating a successful CV for the UK job market is not just a matter of pure translation. It is aimed at non-native speakers who want to apply for jobs in the UK and who need to familiarise themselves with the specific requirements of a CV for the UK job market.

By the end of the session, delegates will:

1. know the formal requirements of a CV for the UK job market
2. understand the importance of showing achievements in a UK CV
3. know the appropriate vocabulary to use in the CV

BIOGRAPHY Cathrin is a German economist (MA) and freelance translator (Diploma in Translation, Institute of Linguists) who has lived in London for the past 13 years. Since she has worked for a London recruitment and career coaching agency, transferring German CVs into English is one of her specialisations. Cathrin also works as a bi-lingual trainer and has been the Director of the German Saturday School in Islington for about 10 years.

Bio: Our trainer is a freelance translator who has used SDL Trados extensively and loves it. She understands the software and how translators should use it and what you need to know to get started and to learn more.
