• What software do I need initially and later?
• What about qualifications? How do I find work?
• How do I work with agencies?
• How do I get paid?


BIOGRAPHY: Gillian holds two degrees in European Business Administration from a UK and a German university as well as the Chartered Institute of Linguists’ Diploma in Translation. She has been a freelance translator since 2000, teaches ESOL and also works as an interpreter and trainer. Her business experience prior to going freelance has been invaluable in enabling her to set up and grow a successful business.

Bio: Our trainer is a freelance translator who has used SDL Trados extensively and loves it. She understands the software and how translators should use it and what you need to know to get started and to learn more.
