Description Negli ultimi tempi, mi è stato chiesto sempre più spesso di tradurre un documento dalla struttura e dal contenuto molto precisi: la scheda di dati di sicurezza (SDS). Ne ho presto scoperto la ragione: alla luce dell'uso quotidiano che molte professioni fanno di prodotti chimici pericolosi, il legislatore ha intensificato non solo l'approvazione di norme a tutela dell'uomo e dell'ambiente, ma anche gli sforzi volti all'armonizzazione dei sistemi di classificazione ed etichettatura delle sostanze chimiche. A livello comunitario, ciò si è tradotto, tra l'altro, nello sviluppo di strumenti di comunicazione dei pericoli e delle relative contromisure uniformi per tutti gli Stati membri. Strumenti che devono rispettare precise regole formali e che vanno forniti "nelle lingue ufficiali degli Stati membri sul cui mercato la sostanza o il preparato sono immessi". Strumenti che includono, in primis, la scheda di dati di sicurezza. In questo webinar, definiremo le caratteristiche proprie di una SDS, metteremo in luce le difficoltà poste dalla sua traduzione e scopriremo le strategie fondamentali per fare della versione italiana non solo un testo corretto e preciso, ma anche e soprattutto a norma di legge.
