Italian term or phrase: Incaricato privacy

Good evening,
I have this term in a text about the GDPR. It is also sometimes described with the English term ‘Privacy Manager’.
However, in other files in the project ‘incaricato privacy’ is defined as meaning any of the ‘internal data processors’ i.e. authorised staff involved in processing on a daily basis rather than the officially appointed ‘Data Processor’ (‘Il Responsabile del Trattamento’) or the Data Controller (“Il Titolare”).
‘Incarico privacy’ in the current section on ‘privacy governance’ is clearly a different role, which is not mandatory for companies but depends on their size and complexity. This person has delegated authority from the Data Processor and/or Data Controller and liaises with the DPO (Data Protection Officer).
It also says that before GDPR, Italy was bound by Legislative Decree 101/2018, which introduced this role of ‘Privacy Manager’ ( a ‘referente’ or ‘incaricato) in Article 2. However, I can only see ‘Data Processors’ discussed in English sites talking about this decree.
Given that this text uses ‘privacy’ sometimes to mean ‘data protection’, I feel as if I’m going round in circles.
Perhaps I can just use ‘Privacy Officer’ or ‘Privacy Manager’ as it’s an internal role anyway and different offices may have different titles.
Grateful for any thoughts or suggestions.

See below: Nel caso di trattamenti che prevedano un trasferimento "esterno" dei dati a terzi, l'incaricato privacy si occupa della compilazione e firma degli accordi di nomina e, insieme al DPO, verifica la correttezza delle misure di sicurezza attuate da fornitori esterni È importante che l'Incaricato Privacy si rivolga al DPO per avere chiarimenti in caso di eventuali nuove operazioni di trattamento, nonchè in caso di dubbi sui trattamenti esistenti How can I get round this?
