disagree  liz askew: but "stent" is not mentioned in the query. I have never heard of a stent being put in the ear!!! And this is talking about an anatomical site.

Previously I heard of a pinnacle or upper edge tip.
"The pinna is the only visible part of the ear (auricle) with its special helical shape. It is the first part of the outer ear anatomy that reacts to sound. The pinna function is to act as a type of 'funnel' or connection which assists in directing the sound further into the ear." (google.com)
