The acronym DM could be referring to “diabetes mellitus”, but I am doubting because of the next sentence of your document, that reads “sin diabetes”. Uf… I just don´t know. “DM” normally means “diabetes mellitus”, but why then the next indication stating “without diabetes”.

In view of this apparent contradiction, I cannot offer a high degree of certainty in my suggestion, only a low confidence level.

agree  Andrew Bramhall: Probably; the ' without' bit refers to the other medical conditions outlined, like hyperthyroidism, and their prevalence in people with, or without, DM.
