Hello everyone!

At SeproTec Multilingual Solutions we are looking to hire a Junior Language Specialist (German > English) (m/f/o), must have native-level proficiency English and German. We offer you the hybrid option of working from SeproTec office in Madrid or fully remote. The way that works best for you! Find below all the details this role would entail:

• Proofreading translations from various subject areas,
• After successful familiarization: preparing own translations and transcreations, as well as MT post-editing,
• Using CAT tools such as Across, Trados Studio, STAR Transit, Kilgray memoQ,
• Updating translation memories,
• Editing, formatting and creating layouts for translation projects in various file formats,
• terminology research and revision.

We are looking for a candidate who complies with the following requirements:

• A degree in the field of translation or linguistics, or a comparable education with relevant professional experience,
• Native-level proficiency English speaker,
• Very good knowledge of German, further language skills desirable,
• Initial practical experience in professional translation and usage of CAT tools,
• Proficient use of MS Office products, experience with other software desirable,
• Affinity for technical, economic and medical topic areas,
• Accurate, structured and efficient way of working as well as open-mindness to new topics and technologies.
