Swiss divorce decree
This is from the the section of the divorce decree, mentioned in my previous question, dealing with the alimony/maintenance payments: Die Unterhältsbeträge basieren auf dem Landesindex der Konsumentenpreise... Sie sind jeweils auf den 1 Januar eines jeden neuen Jahres, erstmals per 1. Januar 2000, dem Stand des Indexes per Ende November des Vorjahres anzupassen. Die Anpassung erfolgt gemäss folgender Formel:
Neuer Unterhaltsbetrag = Basisunterhaltsbetrag x neuer Index

Yes it's base index. The base index would be the index applicable on November 30th of the previous year.
