"Mobile" home is somewhat of a misnomer as these structures are more or less permanently anchored to their sites and rarely (if ever) moved. The new and more politically correct term is "manufactured home". Also, the terms "trailer" and "trailer park" have acquired a somewhat derogatory connotation, at least in US English (cf. also "trailer trash", a rather unkind characterization of people -generally in the lower income brackets- who live in these so-called mobile home parks or trailer parks).


The term "manufactured home" was adopted in 1980 by the the United
States Congress to describe a type of house that is constructed in a
factory to comply with a building code developed by the Department of
Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In the past, manufactured homes
were called "mobile homes," a term that many people still use. However,
"mobile" is no longer an accurate name because fewer than five percent
of such homes are ever moved off the owner's original site.

container housing, temporary housing (quickly constructed)

colloquially Wohncontainer refers also to a very small apartment/room, lacking character. As in live-in container.

So I might be on the wrong track thinking of accommodation for temporary workers at large construction sites.

Mobile home and caravan won't do, as they are not containers in the strict sense of the word.
Searching Google for "container home" (without the "s") delivers only container sites.

gets you the sites that substantiate this term.
