I think you are getting into a different topic there. The main purpose of the guidelines is to raise awareness of professional practices. With nearly 16,000 people having endorsed (including you, I notice), I think it is evident that that purpose is being served.

Thank you for your remark. I understand that enforcing the Professional Guidelines is impossible. I hope that Proz.com members will apply them, but I cannot be sure.
The only technical solution to eliminate jobs at unacceptable prices is a very drastic one i.e. to stop job posting and reduce Proz.com to a searchable database of translators and LSPs. This will make it impossible to anyone to exploit a temporary difficult situation of a translator in order to reduce t... See more

Since I am Italian, I am allowed to say that such a solution could be required only for Italy, therefore it is Italy which must change, not the whole world for the sake of Italy.
