I don't know Chris, so I missed that one. Anyway, happy to hear that. Though I do know there are translators and other freelancers around who work like this for real

Yes. That's the ones he's making fun of – or 'that’s the ones of whom he’s making fun' in case of pedantic criticism of ending on a preposition.

Definitely Nov 2, 2021

I always turn off my phone in the evening. Even electronics need a break. Plus, getting a good night's sleep is just as important as getting another project. Quality matters and is only possible when we're feeling our best.

I'm primarily in French mode for the time being, so it's good to have a complimentary, interactive, biological editor feature here even though it occasionally misfires.

No, but... Nov 2, 2021

No, but I leave it very far away from my room.
I have three kids. So, if it rings enough to wake me up at night, I'll suppose it's something urgent or very important.
But I disabled any and all beeps and rings for notifications other then phone calls and Whatsapp (where I have clients, but no groups at all).

Silence by day,
Airplane by night,
Who writes these questions,
Cos this one is... not really worth a serious answer.

In all seriousness Nov 3, 2021

I don’t turn my phone off at night because

a) None of my clients would dream of contacting me at night
b) None of my clients ever ring me any more anyway
c) Those 0898 numbers…

Don't tell us you don't have an automated answering system.

- For translations, say 'translation' in Russian. You have one second.
- Sorry, we couldn't understand your answer. Please try again. Say 'translation' in Russian.
- Sorry, we still couldn't understand your answer. Please hold while we put you through to the next available translator.
- Sorry, all our translators are currently sleeping. Your call is important to us and we'll put you through to the next available translator as soon as they wake up. In the meantime, you can listen to our exclusive selection of Tom Jones tunes. The licence fee will be charged to your account.
- Consider our monthly translation subscription plan for professional and efficient translation management. For a monthly fee of £100, we will consider giving priority to your inquires and provide free quotes for up to five translations a month.

Muted, but not off Nov 3, 2021

Muted, but not off. It is also my alarm clock, so I can't turn it off. But it's muted at night.

I see someone mentions airplane mode. Are there phones on which airplane mode also mutes the phone? On my latest phone, airplane mode disables Wi-Fi etc. but it doesn't mute the phone.

I never remember airplane mode also double-functions as silent mode, even before the smartphone era.

No, I never turn off my phone at night. Nov 5, 2021

No, I never turn off my phone at night. I usually play with the mobile phone and fall asleep directly after being sleepy.
