Localization Manager Reporting to the Localization Director, you
are responsible for managing the development of localized product to
deliver on time and within budget for multiple franchises. You will
provide input into the overall strategic direction for your products,
and insure that these strategies are incorporated into your
franchises through a team of Localization Coordinators.
Specifically, you will coordinate with internal development team
members and territory representatives to determine staffing
requirements and overall plan for delivery of localized assets. You
will directly supervise, mentor and provide coaching to Localization
Coordinators Primary Responsibilities · Project Management
for delivery of localized products; including ongoing budget tracking
and cost analysis · Ongoing risk management, tracking all
critical events throughout the projects’ durations · Key POC
for development team, participates on products’ steering committee
either directly or through Senior LC · As a senior member of
the Localization department, works as part of a management team and
provides input to best practice and identifies areas for
improvement · Liaison with Europe and territories as it
relates to product delivery · Manage the performance,
personal development and career progression of Loc. Coordinators for
assigned franchises · Contributes to business planning,
recommends languages for localization · Performs localization
design reviews with Production and Development teams ·
Responsible for overall consistency and quality of localized assets
across franchises · Primary escalation point for all
localization issues for assigned franchises · Analyzes and
tracks localised sales data managing performance of localized
products · Promotes sharing of best practices between
assigned franchises and the department overall Requirements and
Qualifications: * 5 years experience in localization * Degree in a
related discipline such as translation or equivalent in experience *
Preferred fluency in a second language or minimum 5 years
localization experience * Demonstrated strength in performance
management and developing people * General understanding of typical
software development lifecycles and how to apply localization to
different development methodologies * Preferred understanding of
video game markets & industry competition in Europe and Asia * Proven
experience in project management – planning and scheduling large
scale projects with multiple dependencies
