I'm not at all sure about this because it's based on a short summary in English of a German article on the subject of Druckkämme. It's not absolutely clear to me that thrust collar is the term they're using for Druckkamm.

der Erhöhung von Lebensdauer, Betriebssicherheit
und Leistungsdichte bei gleichzeitiger
Reduzierung der Geräuschemissionen, des Bauraumes
und des Gewichtes stellt die Schrägverzahnung
seit jeher eine Standardlösung dar. Der
Einsatz der Schrägverzahnung erfordert jedoch geeignete

of the collars stress and deformation under axial
thrust and at the development of a comprehensive
calculation methods for determining the loadcarrying
capacity of various thrust collar designs.
