English term or phrase: effervescent orange-flavoured
People view vitamin C differently from other vitamins, as they regard the product as a widely accepted form of preventive medication, without the luxury image that other preventative products carry. In the country, effervescent orange-flavoured varieties are the most popular, accounting for 48% of total volume sales in 2003, followed by liquid drops and capsules.

Is "effervescent orange-flavoured" correct here? I want to say that the most popular formats of vitamins C are effervescent and the flavour is usually orange.

Selected answer:effervescent, orange-flavoured tablets
Explanation:
I think you should use "tablets" instead of "varieties." The vitamin itself is not effervescent, but the vitamin tablets (and whatever it is they put in there to make it fizz).

also, by using \"tablets\" here, you prepare the reader for the contrast with \"liquid drops and capsules.\" Your reader will probably know that you can\'t have effervescent liquid drops and capsules, but using \"tablets\" will make it immediately clear that you are talking about different forms that the vitamin comes in

bubbly and has a flavor of orange

Explanation:
Effervescent means bubbly.
If you know alkaseltzer (spell?) you throw that white discs into a glass of water and drink. You see bubbles comes out of the pill and fill the glass. That is effervescent. Follow below link.

I don\'t think most popular format of VC is effervescent and orange-flavored. My favorite VC is neither. However orange is a known source of VC, it makes sense having orange-flavor. Nonetheless I think it is strictly cosmetic and its purpose is to catch the eyes of consumers. Flavor, orange or not, is nothing to do with its actual potency.
