English term or phrase: Transcription of Russian name
I have a Russian name in my text (which might be fictional). What are the German conventions for writing the following name:

Zhugev

I assume ".ugew". But what about the "Zh"?

TIA!
heikeb
German translation:Schugew
Explanation:
As in Dr. Zhivago - Dr. Schiwago
Brezhnev - Breschnew

Explanation:
I agree with the suggested transcription, but since I have been also translating from Russian into German, I know, that internationally the names are preferably kept in the English version..

Explanation:
Es gibt mehrere Möglichkeiten, und die Verwirrung ist komplett. Ich habe folgende 2 Versionen gefunden: lateinische und Duden-Transliteration und dazu die Anmerkung: "besser nur sh".
