German term

Kulturlandschaft

German to English Marketing Wine / Oenology / Viticulture Brochure for a winery
This is also in the brochure I mention for the term "Handwerk mit Leidenschaft"
This is in the section about the actual vineyards so I presume it is the "agricultural" meaning of "Kultur" ??

Wo unsere Weine wachsen

Again, I'd be very grateful for ideas from wine loving colleagues!

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Chris Pr

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

tend our cultivated environment with care

It seems to me they are accentuating their environmental consciousness.
Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : I think this is better than Lancashireman's answer because it avoids repeating terroir.

disagree David Williams : I'd beg to differ. A Kulturlandschaft is more a cultivated landscape than anything cultural.

German term (edited): unsere Kulturlandschaft

the terroir of our region

Pinot noir is rightly considered the most difficult grape to grow, and as a result, the most difficult wine to make and what makes pinot noir wines special, is the fact that it can conserve the terroir of the region in a way no other grape variety can.
https://winestatistics.com/2018/11/05/alpha-estate-ecosystem...

Terroir (/tɛˈrwɑːr/, French: [tɛʁwaʁ]; from terre, "land") is the set of all environmental factors that affect a crop's phenotype, including unique environment contexts, farming practices and a crop's specific growth habitat. Collectively, these contextual characteristics are said to have a character; terroir also refers to this character.[1]

Not 'cultural' here. That's about orchestras, theatres, architecture and the like.

Where a suggestion "fits quite well but it is already in the same paragraph" (i.e. of this specific context), wouldn't it make sense to include it in the glossary entry?
Note from asker:
Thankyou, Lancashireman. Terroir does indeed fit quite well, but it is already in the same paragraph.
Thanks for your comments. I'll see if I can adapt the glossary entry.
