French term

IGP

French to English Medical Medical (general) lab results
Good afternoon/evening to you!

This appears in a list of lab results under the CBC differential, after basophils and before reticulocytes. For each cell listed, the % and calculated value is given.

% MYELEMIE (IGP): 14.1
MYELEMIE CALCULEE: 0.090

Might anyone know what IGP stands for??

Thanks!

Immature granulocyte percentage

Not 100% certain on this one but should fit context.

Note from asker:
Thanks dwt2 - you just reminded me that I had wondered about this but wasn't sure because it was an English acronym - it might be the term the analyzer uses consistently across languages.

Hello Denise. It was my impression, based on the sources above, that polyvalent immunoglobins are sometimes administered to help treat certain conditions, including myeloma. They are used, for example, to rapidly increase a patient's platelet count. The analyzer might be trying to assess the amount of polyvalent immunoglobins remaining in the person's body. Just a suggestion!
Note from asker:
Thanks Nathalie. I'm trying to make the connection here. The hematology analyzer is detecting the myelocytes in the blood. I'm not sure where the polyvalent immunoglobulins come in but thanks for giving me a direction to investigate.
Hi Nathalie. Thanks so much for your help. I'm feeling a little dense here. I just haven't yet seen anything that tells me that the analyzer uses polyvalent immunoglobulins to detect or determine myelocytes. I really appreciate your efforts!

disagree Michael Barnett : Immunoglobulins would appear in the biochemistry section (immunoglobulin electrophoreisis) not as a part of the CBC.
