Tax exepmtion adjustment, non-taxable adjustment Explanation: Which of these to use depends on the context. As far as I know, the term "tax exemption" is usually used that one can claim one's income or certain part of one's income to be exempt of taxes - no taxes are levied on a certain type of transaction or activity or income on certain conditions, but not necessarily on all incomes or transactions of similar kind. "Non-taxable" means that certain income or merchandise is not levied any taxes upon in general - for example, in the U. S. food is not taxable, i. e. when one purchases food in store, one never pays sales tax (however, one does pay sales tax for dishes purchased at a restaurant). The nature of transaction or merchandise makes it non-taxable and no special application is needed to make it "tax exempt". |

Adjustment to non-taxable income Explanation: またはNon-taxable income adjustment この場合の「非課税」が最初のリンクで説明されているようなものであるならば、2つ目のリンクにあるcommon examples of items not included as taxable incomeの一つであるMeals and Lodging for the convenience of your employerに類すると思われるので、non-taxableという英語がよいのではないかという気がします。 http://www.nta.go.jp/taxanswer/gensen/2582.htm http://www.irs.gov/uac/Taxable-or-Non-Taxable-Income? http://www.nyc.gov/html/dof/downloads/pdf/property/adjust_ex... 税制度は国ごとに異なる部分があるので、日本語の意味を把握した上でそれに相当する英語は一般に普及しているものを使うのが理想的だと思います。 |
