Я понимаю, что этот вопрос "бойян", но все-таки...

Применительно к продукции фирмы Apple, в первую очередь к iPhone и iPad, как правильно переводить глагол "to tap" - "коснуться" или "нажать"?

Контекст (игры для iPhone/iPad):
"

По крайней мере в официальных руководствах к iPhone и iPad "tap" переведено и как "коснуться", и как "нажать"... Есть ли все-таки однозначный или хотя бы предпочтительный вариант?

всё-таки "нажать".
Да, понимаю, что вообще tap переводится как "постукивать" или "стучать", но здесь нужно переводить как "нажать".
Исторически сложилось так, что с компьютерной техникой и телефонами мы "нажимаем". Да, для сенсорных экранов достаточно лишь коснуться, но всё-таки во многих инструкциях говорят "нажмите", а не "коснитесь"
