saboot kAbil-e-giraftAri guzarnay par mulzim ko tareekh __Dec., 2006 ko hasab jAbtA giraftAr tasavvar kiyA gayA.

What does hasab jabtA ( I'm not sure, it could be zAbtA also) mean?

Another point - I think tasavvar or tasavvur means "to imagine." If they have arrested the accused on a particular date, why they are mentioning "tasavvar?" Or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for your help. In fact, there are some sentences or words in Urdu in a Hindi legal document. Urdu has been used in courts for a long time in India and still some old people can't resist the temptation to use Urdu words in Hindi legal papers.

It means here "considered arrested", that is the said person was under custody from that particular time and date. The meanings of 'Tassavur karna' can be 'to imagine'

and

'Hasb e Zaabta Griftar Tasavvur Kiya Gaya' can be translated as:

'Was imagined to be arrested according to the regulation (rule or law)."

But it is to use a better word 'considered to be' which will make the sentence as:

'Was considered to be arrested according to the regulation (rule or law)."
