what makes it LANDFILL in the dirty ssense is the word
SANITARIO

because a maciso de aterro is just a mound of SOMETHING!! that\'s what a maciço is......it\'s the sanitario that gives it the sense of landfill in the sense of where the garbage is and NOT the word macico aterro sanitario is just plan landfill

Jane, (or shall I call you Lamb as you insist on calling me Marcus), your examples certainly look good. Heap + pile sounded more natural to me, but I\'m prepared to go with \'mound\' having re-read your e.g.\'s. Quite how you find it obvious is another matter entirely.
