English term or phrase: dry bake mixes
A trip to Country X found that a number of products with potential for export to the Country Y's market failed to meet the required standard for packaging and labelling.
These products included local sauces/relishes and traditional bean dishes, and Commodity Processors’ ***dry bake mixes*** (including banana fritters and cassava flour mixes).

Explanation:
Most 'mixes' for things like cakes, etc. seem to be called 'préparation'

Generally speaking, I wouldn't have thought it was really necessary to add 'dry', since 'préparations' usually are anyway.

  -> Merci, Philippe !

agree  GILLES MEUNIER: oui dry = sec doit apparaître logiquement...
8 mins
-> Merci, Gilles !

neutral  Tony M: Problem is, that really = dried, and some mixes may consist of dry ingredients, but not have been subjected to specific drying; e.g. a cake mix, containing flour, sugar, and baking powder, to which the user will add the 'wet' ingredients (butter, eggs).

-> ok, then may be we can say "en poudre", also used for cooking ingredients.

préparation pour gâteaux

Explanation:

neutral  Tony M: That's all very well, but might be too restrictive: what if this is a bread mix, for example?

-> True, I would then say "préparations en poudre (pour pains et pâtisseries)". To me, "pâtisseries" doesn't describe the bread so it would be better to put both.
