exercice de visée sighting practice or aiming practice Explanation: Termium gives "sighting practice" and "aiming practice" (see record #142 on first web reference below). I also found a reference to "jeux de puces géantes" [tiddlywinks?] that says "Jouer aux puces est un exercice de visée qui aide la coordination oeil-main" (see the second web reference below). So perhaps it's a test for hand-eye-aiming coordination. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs (2010-11-26 06:47:24 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- typo in my citation; it reads "Jouer aux puces est un exercice de visée qui aide à la coordination oeil-main" -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs (2010-11-26 06:53:58 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Tiddlywinks is listed under "hand-eye coordination" (http://loxlon.com/Games/Hand-Eye_Coordination/Tiddlywinks/); maybe that would be a better translation here. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 6 hrs (2010-11-26 06:56:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Oops, the URL was not built correctly in the previous note; here's the right one: http://loxlon.com/Games/Hand-Eye_Coordination/Tiddlywinks/ Reference: http://btb.termiumplus.gc.ca/tpv2alpha/alpha-eng.html?lang=e...
