My question is whether the translation of entnehmen here is correct:

Also need more context ... because the original German phrase is a bit strange. A native wouldn't understand it on its own.

In computing terms ... ... "removing" is something very different from just "moving", with the former implying deletion in almost all cases; to decide which is the underlying concept, we'd need more context.

Edit: Though the "in" suggests they are talking about "moving" (or "pasting").
