Have you ever seen an equivalent in Spanish of the term "predisability"?

the sentence in which it appears reads as follows: "You are unable to earn more than 80% of your Predisability Earnings at any gainful occupation..."

Disability for purposes of the law of employee compensation refers to a condition that renders you unable to return to work, and entitles you to collect 'disability' payments. It is not "discapacidad," but a usually temporary incapacity. For example, the last 8 to 10 weeks of pregnancy entitle a woman to collect disability benefits.

If you have an accident, and are temporarily unable to work, or the doctor feels you should stay at home, you collect disability payments after the first week, which is a waiting week. Even when you are self-employed, although you may not be entitled to collect unemployment benefits, you can sometimes collect disability insurance benefits, because they have to do with temporary disability.
