English to Punjabi translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase: family night
I work at a school and we need to invite a family to an evening function about English as a Second Language.
Sara
parwarak sham
Explanation:
Parwarak= family, though the exact meaning of family is parwar, but as adjective of night, it has to be written as 'parwarak'
Again 'sham' is not exact translation for night, but you can't invite parents of your student at night, it has to be the evening, hence the right word is 'sham'.
