English term or phrase: Piecing and Appliqué as two different quilting techniques
There are two types of techniques when quilting a quilt top: Piecieng and appliqué.

"A PIECED quilt top can be made up of tens to hundreds of samall pieces of fabric joined together by hand or machine to create a pattern or repeating design".

"Appliqué is another method of creating quilt tops. To create an appliqué top, you stitch various fabric shapes onto a base of fabric".

Do you know if there are any technical terms in Spanish for these two techniques?

The problem of consistency comes when they use these words as verbs, adjectives and nouns (such as "Appliqué" or "Appliquéd")

"Todos los acolchados –así sean diseñados para usar en la cama o como un simple cogeollas- están hechos de tres capas:

Pieced or appliquéd quilt top
Relleno (llamado guata) y
