Explanation:
I don't always trust Leo, but this is what you will find under motivation, my guess and first answer would have been 'assessment of (customer)motivation', but 'motivation research' sounds much smoother.

Asker: Den Eintrag hatte ich auch gefunden, glaube aber nicht, dass er hier passt. Es geht ja nicht um Forschung, sondern darum, dass der Verkäufer herausfinden will, welche Motive den potenziellen Käufer "steuern".
