We have a "Deposit account summary" for a checking account with HSBC listing various items. Among them "total checking" with an amount of USD xxx next to it. Would anyone know what this actually is and how this would translate into German? Thank you.

total checking is the total amount that you have in our checking (US) or current account (Girokonto). I guess "Girokontosaldo" is the equivalent in German. Pls. see link below.
