Ok, guys, two questions in one (about the same word). First of all, I've read that even though "criteria" is widely used as a singular noun, instead of the proper "criterion", it's not correct. Do you agree? Second, what is the best way to translate this in this context. I'm not happy with the obvious "criterio", any suggestions? Context:
Living and working in these cities is the primary criterion for inclusion in this exhibition.

Thank you Teju - regarding criteria and criterion, you're right, but I believe using criteria with a singular meaning is absolutely incorrect (in spite of widespread use). I think the problem is that, (as opposed to Spanish, by the way) in general, we use criteria in plural.

I think "criteria" is correct. What is plural in English (criteria) gets usually transformed into singular in Spanish (criterio).
