Nos últimos anos nossa região se confronta com um novo ciclo, o da agricultura, especialmente o cultivo da soja; trazendo euforia para alguns, preocupações para outros e sérios transtornos para muitos outros. Os desafios ante essa nova realidade são comentados nos meios de comunicação social: TVs, Rádios e Jornais. É nosso parecer que muitas vezes esses meios *pecam* por falta de serenidade e objetividade.

Literally: these media sin.
But is this the sense employed here? Could I use "commit serious errors" instead? Would the emphasis be lost?
