Science - Geology / tectonics

I am not sure how to translate the term 'néocratonisé' in English.

Any ideas gratefully received!

MTIA!

Explanation:
I hate to stick my neck out by disagreeing with a resident geologist, but all my evidence points to it being this.

The Penguin Dict. of Geology defines craton (or kraton) as "a major structural unit of the Earth's crust, consisting of a large stable mass of rock, generally igneous and/or metamorphic, sometimes with a thin veneer of sediment. A typical kraton is the Canadian (Precambrian) Shield. Blocks which have been termed 'oceanic' or 'submarine' kratons probably do not conform to this definition. 'Kraton' is practically synonymous with 'shield'. "
