Al peticionario de una solicitud denegada por alguna de las causas indicadas en el artículo cuarenta y ocho se le concederá ***audiencia de oficio*** en cualquier expediente posterior en que se pretenda el total o parte del terreno de aquélla. Este derecho prescribirá al año de haberse notificado el acuerdo de cancelación, sin perjuicio de que el peticionario del expediente cancelado pueda pedir vista de todo expediente posterior, en el momento procesal oportuno, después de efectuada la publicación a que se refiere el artículo cincuenta y uno.
I know there are many references to uses of DE OFICIO in Proz's terms, but I still can't work out exactly what this refers to ... 'OFFCIAL' or 'BY LAW' perhaps?
Any help appreciated.

: Correct, but ignore "court" here, there´s no trial whatsoever. It´s just an administrative procedure.
