Spanish term

dar de baja del patrimonio neto

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Accounting memoria consolidada -
I have come across several expressions to translate "dar de baja" but I would like some help to choose the right one to translate this sentence in the following paragraph:

Thanks a lot!

removed from its net assets

dar de baja can be translated in various ways depending on the context.

In accounting contexts, it often means to write off or to remove from the books.

So, in your case, it would be removed from its net assets.

I cannot find the difference between to write off or to remove from, so, sorry but I disagree with your comment. Also, you are only one in the queue who is neutral.

A rough draft of one of statements in your text, using "derecognized" is as follows:

... the company has derecognised the associated conversion differences amounting to 3,567,234 euros by recording income under the heading "Exchange Differences" in the accompanying consolidated income statement.
