I am really struggling with the meaning of '2OUAp' written in a medical report regarding a patient with chest pains:
FR : tabac 2OUAp, stoppé il y a 8 mois
It could be 20UAp as the source text is very difficult to make out.
Thanks

20 pack-years
20 unités de paquet-années = 20 UAP = 20 pack-years
Measure of acculmulated exposure to cigarettes.
from ref:

20 UAP
I'm sure that it's 20 (twenty) UAP, but I can't find what exactly it refers to, I'm afraid - it's clearly a term used in hospital medicine referring to a measure of pulmonary capacity or something similar (see example, page 10)

: In your link, 40 UAP is 40 pack-years. It is referring to Risch et al. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8395141?ordinalpos=17&ito...

20 minutes of unstable angina pectoris episodes
UAP = unstable angina pectoris. The symptons occur between 5 and 20 minutes without warning; given the fact that the patient has chest pains, the symptoms match those of this cardiovascular disease. Also, tobacco is related to angina.
