In the albanian language the word "hello" is translated as "tungjatjeta" but lately in the daily use is used more the word "tung" that is the short way of saying "tungjatjeta" and is much more appropriate to the translation of the word "hello"

hello = njatjeta
There is another shortened version of "Tungjatjeta" which is widely used in Albania: "Njatjeta". I prefer this to "Tung" because it still contains the original message "T'u ngjatte/zgjatte jeta" (May your life be long)
