Directorate for Official Permits and Authentications
Spanish term
dirección de permisos y legalizaciones
I saw this on a divorce decree.
It is from the Departamento del Secretario General de Acuerdos.
It is a seal indicating that the document has been handed over to this agency.
DIRECCIóN de PERMISOS Y LEGALIZACIONES.
I hope you can help. I just have the name of the agency. It is an "either you know it or you don't" situation. I wish I had more context. That is why I am asking.
Thank you!

: Hi, Giovanni. How why wouldn't you use permit, instead of licensing, for "permisos"?

Although "permit" might seem the obvious choice, I think the term of art here is "licensing" (as in, for ex. "environmental licenses"). At least that's what I've seen in US documents.
