I wouldn't normally use a CR of 5, but this is straight (verbatim) from the good old Collins ES>EN, although it wasn't easy to find!

What's more, they don't suggest any alternatives, for what it's worth

neutral AllegroTrans : I don't see anything in Asker's text to suggest the use of "symbolically", it sounds like a straight statement of fact, or at least of a firm opinion, nothing "symbolic" about it
