Portuguese term

deixar na reta

Portuguese to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
This is from a short text of an employee complaint (Brazilian Portuguese). See below for context. Not sure what is meant by the phrase "nao deixa na reta pra mim".

Thanks in advance for any help!

To give a reason/a chance/an opportunity

“Don’t give me a chance, or else you will see”. It sounds like a threat, something like: if you give me the smallest provocation, you will regret.
