Spanish term

publicidad cercana

Spanish to English Marketing Food & Drink
This is in a marketing presentation, in a list of positive factors regarding a campaign. Maybe contextual advertising? Thanks.

"Publicidad cercana, socializar, amigos." It's a bullet point in a list within a presention about marketing beer.

Agree More context is needed. I often have trouble finding the Goldilocks option to translate "cercano/a". It basically means close or near, in the sense of things which are familiar and easily recognisable to whoever the text is about. "Close to home"could be an option.
Cecilia Gowar Feb 16, 2020:
Could you provide the context in the source language please? You are offering an explanation in the target language.

close-to-home advertising

Without further context to go on, I guess this could work... The first sample sentence below is from a book, but Google book links don't seem to work on this site.

NB: In my opinion, "close to home" evokes slightly more than simply "local". The question of whether one expression or another is "more natural" is purely subjective.
Example sentence:

Mahoney's type of affordable, close-to-home advertising perfectly suited to the

But we've started a close-to-home advertising effort ...

proximity marketing

Without context, it is difficult to know what they mean, since "publicidad cercana" does not have a definite meaning.
One guess is that they are referring to "marketing de proximidad", which is a well known advertising strategy.

Proximity marketing is the localized wireless distribution of advertising content associated with a particular place. Transmissions can be received by individuals in that location who wish to receive them and have the necessary equipment to do so.

local advertising

I think "local" is more natural than "near-to-home"
Example sentence:

They have started a new local advertising campaign for a well-known international product
