Spanish term

vías conjuntas

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering Railway construction
Hi all,

This is from Spanish Spanish for UK English.

Specs for the constructions of tracks, specifically from a section discussing fastening the rails to the sleepers.
I'm not even sure if it is a typo and should read "vías con juntas" (there are one or two other typos in the 3 page document, so it's not perfect)... any help appreciated.

I think it's a typo.

agree cranesfreak : Agree. Vias con juntas= track joined by fishplates. Regards.

agree Jennifer Levey : Yes. And it's consistent with the mention of different temperature ranges for continuous-welded vs. 'fish-plated' rails.

"vias conjuntas"

The term "vias conjuntas" is used in this and other references. I think it means a track for both freight and passengers.

It could also mean "double-track railroad"
