Portuguese to English Other Journalism Need help with a term, please?
Hello,

Recently, I was translating an article on the history of journalism which included the word "isençao". T
The dictionary definition of "isençao" is "exemption". However, I was told that within the given context, the word meant "impartiality".

Could someone please let me know if this is true and where I can verify that this is the case?

Indeed The term may indeed mean both things, and there is no other way to find out which one applies than if you post the term in the context.

isenção I agree with Katarina Peters - context please, 'santo contexto', especially when any given word has more than one meaning and dictionaries seem to forget about that.
